The weather in Hobart allows for excellent growing year-round, because it doesn't get too cold in winter. We planted beautiful heirloom varieties of lettuce, tomatoes, leeks, carrots, pumpkins, cucumber, kale, beans, peas, and the list goes on! Food tastes so much better when you've grown it yourself!
This was the best cabbage we have ever tasted...no joke. We decided to call it "sugar cabbage" because you could just eat the raw leaves by themselves and they were so sweet! The joys of growing your own food!
Phase two was converting part of Nanny's driveway into a raised bed (she's never driven, so she wasn't using her parking space).
Sometimes you just want some freshly picked broccoli in the middle of the night.
