A Day at the Races

Horse Racing is big news (and big business) in Australia, a very important part of the national psyche. Women and girls get all glammed-up in cocktail dresses and showy facinators or hats and some race days even involve fashion events, which are almost as important as the races themselves. Some races are such big events that even those in other states will get dressed up and have elaborate lunches or get-togethers to watch the big race on TV.
