Lucha Libre

Back at home you would be unlikely to find Laura and me at a wrestling match. However, in Mexico attending a Lucha Libre match is an extremely important cultural experience. Our friends Polo and Miranda introduced us to this experience on a busy Monday night and got us seats right beside the ring. Unfortunately our cameras were confiscated at the door but thanks to google image search we can give you a pretty good idea of what we saw. I have put the host website below the photos which do not belong to us.

Lucha masks

There is no need to worry if you ever leave home without the mask of your Lucha Libra hero thanks to hundreds of stands like this one found all around the city (and to a lesser extent the country).

Lucha Libre is jammed packed with a combination of acrobatics, agility, drama, secrecy, and machismo.
