Unfortunately this was all we got to see of the Falkland Islands. We were told that no one would be allowed to disembark at Stanley because there was a contagious illness on board our ship, which immigration authorities were worried would spread to their small population.

So, instead of Falkland Island photos, Laura took a collection of ship photos:
With the day-trip to Stanley canceled, many of the passengers decided the weather was warm enough for some winter-wear sunbathing around the pool.
The pools had to be emptied at some points during the voyage because all the water was splashing out in giant waves with the movement of the ship in the rough southern waters.
