Mars...

... or perhaps the closest we will ever come to visiting.



We found the desolate and stunningly beautiful landscape of the Siloli desert even more intriguing than the Salar de Uyuni.

In a vista such as this, the usual descriptors simply won't do.

So, the nacarat pigment emitted by the algae that inhabit Laguna Colorada contrasts sharply against the niveous borax, cinerious mountains, luteous grasses and cyaneous sky of the surrounding landscape.
