La Paz

Our bus being ferried across a narrow section of Lake Titicaca to continue our journey from Copacabana to La Paz. The passengers were transported, much more quickly, in a small motor boat.

La Paz is the world's highest capital city, at 3660m in the lower city and 4000m in the upper city.

A Quebecois restaurant in Bolivia?

Josh had to try their poutine.

Apparently the chef learned the recipe from a Quebecois backpacker who was passing through...then he decided it needed "beefing up" with meatballs, sausages and big pieces of onion.

During our visit to La Paz the streets were packed with zebra mascots who were leading a campaign to encourage drivers to respect pedestrians on crosswalks and to discourage pedestrians from jaywalking. As you can see in the video, it was not working very well.
