Anne and her family took us to celebrate Argentina's national Day of Tradition in style in San Antonio de Areco, a town a few hours outside of Buenos Aires. Many of the best gauchos (cowboys) in the country gather here in the week leading up to this holiday to demonstrate their equestrian skills.
You can't have a party in Argentina without plenty of barbecued meat!
How lucky to have the opportunity to attend such an event. The horses are beautiful and look so healthy. The pictures say a thousand words. I love the movement and light in them. The riders regalia is pretty impressive too. Great job, thank you. Mum and Penny
Welcome to our travel blog. Our amazing trip through Latin America came to an end in December 2009 and we are currently living in Australia. However, we will continue to publish posts every few days until we are caught up.

An interactive map of our route to date. Our Google map account seems to be a little overloaded now so to see our entire route click "View Josh and Laura's Journey in a larger map." You may alternatively click and drag this mini map to see where we are now. While our photos are typically months behind we tend to keep the map relatively current.
